About Your Librarian

This is the beginning of my 10th year as a librarian at Worth Heights. I love being a librarian, and I enjoy sharing new books with students and get a kick out of seeing students find that one author or series that kick-starts their love for reading.

Prior to becoming a librarian, I was an English teacher. I have taught middle school & high school English Language & Literature as well as college writing courses. Seven of my years teaching were in Daejeon, South Korea. I have a B.A. in English Language & Literature, an M.A. in English Language & Literature, and a MLS in Library Sciences.

Something interesting about me is I love animals and have four fur babies of my own--one cat and three dogs. Each one of them is mischievous, hilarious, and keep me laughing all the time, and three of them are rescue pets.
