About the Teacher
Hello! This is my third year with World Languages Institute, and I am teaching Honors English I to 8th/9th graders & AP English Literature to eligible 12th graders. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Language Arts from the University of North Texas (Go Mean Green!), and I love teaching English. This is my 9th year in education, and I have experience in middle school, high school, bilingual schools, and international schools (I lived in Honduras in 2019 as a missionary teacher). I am currently working on my Master's degree in Educational Leadership with the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). I live in Fort Worth with my husband Nick, have 1 dog named Burk, love working with teens, and am very active in my community! I'm excited for the year ahead with the Gryphons and thankful to be back to in-person learning this year!

¡Hola! Es mi tercero año en el Instituto del Idiomas del Mundo y enseño inglés 1 (honors) & literatura de inglés (AP). Recibí mi Licenciatura de Bachelor en Artes del Lenguaje Inglés de la Universidad del Norte de Texas, y me encanta enseñar inglés. Completará mi licenciatura de Master en Liderazgo Educacional este año. Este es mi noveno año en educación y tengo experiencia en escuelas medias, secundaria, escuelas bilingües y escuelas internacionales (enseñaba en Honduras como maestra misionera en 2019). Vivo en Fort Worth con mi esposo Nick, tengo 1 perro llamado Burk, me encanta trabajar con adolescentes, y soy muy activo en mi comunidad! Estoy muy emocionada para el año que tenemos afrente de nosotros Gryphones y agradecida que estar en persona este año!
