As we begin the school year virtually, here are some important tips to help get the year started.
Begin establishing schedules now, so that the first day of school on Tuesday, September 8 won't be a huge shock to your child's system. We will start our days together with a live class meeting at 8:00 AM. I hope all students are able to join us Monday - Thursday for this check-in. This means students will need to be awake and ready to participate!
Practice navigating through Google Classroom and Google Meet before the first day of school. This will help make the first day of school run smoothly.
Create a learning space for your child to learn that will allow for them to focus and work independently.
Model a positive attitude and growth mindset with your child. We are all entering into a time of learning that will look and feel different. Each day will bring about new opportunities for growth and challenges. Be a voice of hope and support for your child.
Don't hesitate to reach out to me with questions, concerns, or special needs regarding your child or family situation. We are partners together this school year and communication will be a key part of our success.
