Biography:

I grew up in Ft. Worth and graduated from Arlington Heights. I earned my bachelor's degree from UT Austin. I moved back to Ft. Worth and started my teaching career. All 4 of my children attended MLP, Monnig and graduated from AHHS. I also have 2 grandchildren and 2 dogs.

Fun fact: I have identical twin sons. Both of my daughters also work for FWISD.

In 1989, I started my teaching career at a small private school. I taught there for 6 years. I spent my last year there as the director of the Early Childhood Center. In !996, I joined the Roadrunner family as a 3rd grade teacher. During my time here, I have taught 3rd and 4th self-contained and 4th grade writing, science and social studies. Last year, I left the classroom to become the campus' Data Analyst. This school year, I will continue many of those duties, but as a Title 1 teacher.

Even as far back as my childhood when I would force my little sister to be a student in my home "classroom", I have always pictured myself as a teacher. I love having the opportunity to support and mentor my students. I learn as much from them as they do from me. Working with students gives us all the chance to share the best parts of ourselves. My hope for my students is the same hope I had for my own children as they grew up; that my guidance and encouragement helps them grow into independent, productive human beings who follow their own dreams.
