Mr. Sweeney

Hello, my name is Mr. Sweeney. I'm very excited to be teaching you about World Geography and Cultures this year.

I teach Social Studies because I believe in teaching our young people to take part in their communities. I believe that our governments are better when every citizen speaks and when every voice is heard. I hope to teach our students our history and our government, so that they can and will go into the world ready to change it for the better.

This will be my fourth year teaching, my third at Meadowbrook Middle. My first year, I taught at Lancaster ISD.

I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Dallas in 2003, and my teaching certificate in 2017.

I'm the proud father of 6-year-old twins, Ellie & Evie.
