About Me

Hi,  I am Megan Southern.  You can call me Ms. Southern or Coach.  This is my 13th year teaching at South Hills HS.  I teach English I.  I also coach the Freshman Girls' Soccer team here at South Hills. I graduated college from Texas Lutheran University with a BA in Communications.  

I played soccer in college and still play today on 3 teams.  My passion is to teach/coach high school students to be the best they can be in school, on the field, and even in life.  My favorite food is tacos!  My favorite soccer team is Manchester United.  My favorite soccer player is Messi.  I am married to another teacher at SHHS, named Jamie Southern.  We have 2 boys and 3 pets.  I am looking forward to a great school year!  Please feel free to explore this site and learn more about me and this upcoming course.
