Materials needed for Class

·  School Laptop (EVERY DAY)

·   Writing utensil (must have pencil for tests and quizzes)

 Classroom Expectations

·   Respect yourself, others, and your school. 

·   Be on time.

·   Mind your manners. 

Grading

6 Weeks grades will be weighted and calculated as follows:

·   Tests - 20%

·   Quizzes - 20%

·   Homework - 20%

·   Class Assignments – 20%

·   Class Projects - 10%

·   Participation – 10% 

Tests

In general, tests will be given each Friday. 

Quizzes

Quizzes will be given weekly over chapter content.  Quizzes will be computed based on specific curriculum bench mark state standards.

Calculators

Calculators are allowed for tests as per Mr. Rowlands' discretion.  Students will be provided TI-Calculators in class and recommend students use the Desmos on line calculator for home use.

 Cheating

Cheating is never tolerated.  A zero will be given on any assignment, including tests, that cheating occurred.  This may result in the student failing for the 6 weeks.  All cases of cheating (including but not limited to copying answers on homework/quizzes/tests, possessing another student’s work, taking another student’s work and calling it your own, etc.) will be handled by the high school discipline policy. 

Focus

All lessons will be recorded daily and available for student and parent viewing in Focus.
