When resetting a password--click both unlock and reset.
If you can't find a student in the Password Reset--It takes 24 hours from date of enrollment for a student to have login credentials--try again tomorrow.
Student gets the error message "we've seen this password too many times'--student is using some form of personal identifier (name, dob, etc.) that FWISD will not allow--students need to use words and numbers that can't be found on FOCUS.
If default password in not working, unlock and reset student's account via Teacher's Classlink. WAIT 1-3 minutes for the reset to actually work. (teacher reset directions at bottom of the page)

Once students log in with their default password, they will be prompted to change their password.
It will first ask for the student's current password—this is their default password: fwisd.MMDDYYYY.

Students in 6th – 12th grade must create a complex password that meets all of the following requirements:
Must be at least 12 Characters long
Must contain at least one of each:
Upper Case Letter(s)
Lower Case Letter(s)

1. Get a fresh sheet of paper and a pencil!
2. Draw 12 short lines across a piece of paper, like you would when you play Hangman.
3. Then pick a word that is not a personal identifier, but is something you will remember like your favorite game, team, food, actor, book, etc.—hint, you would want to pick a longer word since you need to get to 12 characters.
4. Write this word down in your spaces—each letter takes up a space—Make sure to Capitalize the first Letter of this word.
5. See if you can easily replace any of the letters with special characters—like a to @, e to 3, s to $ etc. If not, add whatever special character you would like.
6. Look at how many spaces you have left, and fill the remaining with numbers you will remember—perhaps part of a phone number, address, the year you will graduate high school, etc.
