FWISD Audiologists work with teachers & other school professionals to ensure that students with hearing loss have the support they need in order to successfully access curriculum.
FWISD Audiologists provide the following services to qualifying students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing:
Comprehensive Audiological Evaluations
Evaluation, fitting, and maintenance of school-provided amplification.
Evaluation, fitting, and maintenance of school-provided hearing assistive technology (HAT).
Training of teachers and related school personnel on the use of amplification/HAT equipment in the classroom.
FWISD Audiologists cannot legally fit school amplification without the completion of this form by an
Ear, Nose, & Throat physician (ENT).
