My name is Maria Ines Magalhaes Castro, and I am the Family and Community Outreach Coordinator at Carter Riverside High School. I work directly with the school staff and the community to help serve the needs of students and families, supporting students’ postsecondary plans with the Go Center staff. I am available to help them apply to college, complete the financial aid process (FAFSA and TASFA), apply for scholarships, find jobs after graduation, pursue a career in the military, and much more. We want to ensure all students have a plan when they graduate. I work with all grade levels, and I am available to answer any questions and walk alongside students through high school and after graduation. My goal is to make sure parents and students know the opportunities they have after they leave Carter Riverside High School.
Hello, my name is Daniel Rodriguez, and I am the College and Career Readiness Coach for the Go Center at Carter Riverside High School. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas (Go Cowboys!). I graduated from Texas Woman's University with my Bachelor's in Computer Science and minor in Mathematics in 2016. Shortly after I was accepted into the Higher Education Cohort program at the University of North Texas where I earned my Master's in Higher Education in 2018. Being a First- Generation Latino graduate my college journey was not easy and without the help of others I would not be where I am now. Being the CCR Coach at the Go Center gives me the opportunity to be that help to get students to go off and achieve their dreams after graduation. I can help with the transition process by assisting with the various applications and provide resources to understand the process better for both students and parents.

Hi everyone! I am Mrs. Cerenity. I am an ETS Pre-College Advisor for the Boys and Girls Club. I help to assist students with learning about colleges and careers, as well as applying and paying for college. ETS is a free TRiO program to help low income and first-generation students. You can find me in the Go-Center in room 204 if you ever need help! Fun fact: I am a Carter Alumni, so I might have even been taught by some of the same teachers who are teaching you now! I also was in ETS while at Carter, and my Pre-College Advisor helped me get to college! If you are interested in joining, you can scan this code on your phone to get into contact with me for an application or send me an email!
