NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association): This organization regulates student athletics among nearly 1,100 colleges and universities in the United States and one in Canada. It ensures fair play, academic standards, and eligibility across its three divisions: Division I, II, and III. 

Eligibility Center: This specific arm of the NCAA is responsible for determining the academic and amateurism eligibility of prospective student-athletes who wish to compete in NCAA Division I or II sports. Students planning to compete at a Division I or II school must register with the Eligibility Center to be eligible for official visits, athletic scholarships, and competition.
