Week 1 Art Lesson: MJE "WELCOME Back" Students To Our Art Classroom 2022!

This week I will be introducing the fantastic art projects we are going to be creating, such as in acrylic painting, fused glass making, book crafting, print-making, weaving, 3-D Sculpting, along with creating art with clay and lots more.

Take a few minutes, and try your BEST to create a drawing of brightly shinning SUN, beaming wonderful words all about, the student CHAMP you are!

Next, try and read aloud with some great books I have listed and create wonderful work of art, retelling the story in your composition, then color it and take a photo of your wonderful work of art and email it to me, so that I can post your awesome work of art in our MJE Virtual Art Gallery!

Week 2 Art Lesson: "Being" an Artist

MJE Jaguars, this week's art lesson is all about learning and reviewing what you have learned about what a artist is. We will be learning about who each of us are and what are the things we like. Let's all continue to get creative and I promise these activities are fun for the whole family.

Plan: All About Me Drawing

Objective: Students will draw a picture that introduces and tells something about themselves.

Activity: 1st grade ... Watch the story videos, & Draw a picture of their favorite toy. 2nd - 5th grade ... Watch the video of stories. Then watch video lesson. Create an "All About Me" drawing.

Materials: Pencil, paper & crayons

Create: 1st Grade

Watch video of back to school stories.
"All About Me" drawing. The student will draw what their favorite toy is and color it. Ask an adult to help you write your name at the bottom of the drawing.

Create: 2nd - 5th Grade

Watch video of back to school stories.
"All About Me"drawing. Student will write their name in the center of a sheet of manila paper. The student will then divide the paper into four sections. Student will then draw their favorite food in one section, then draw their favorite thing about being a Texan in another section, then draw their favorite animal/pet in the third section and in the last section student will draw their sport/game. Students can then color it.
