About Mrs. Magana

Irma Magana, MA, LBSW, LPC-I

I grew up in South Fort Worth and have lived here all my life. I attended Dunbar High School and graduated in 1993.

I attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX for my Bachelors degree in Social Work.  I later attended Amberton University for my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling .  I am currently a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Texas and am pursuing a license in Professional Counseling.

I have been a Social Worker in Fort Worth Independent School  District since 1998.  I have been at North Side High School as the Project Reach Social Worker for about 21 years. Before that, I worked at New Lives and other schools, and then as a Because We Care Worker at J.P. Elder Middle School.

Working with Pregnant and Parenting students has been a true passion since the first day I  was  introduced to the PEP program in Nacogdoches ISD.  This is truly work of the heart.

On a personal note, I have been married for 23 years and have 2 wonderful kids. ❤️
