Fort Worth ISD FAMILY RESOURCE CENTERS

The Fort Worth ISD provide supportive behavioral and mental health service at the Family Resource Centers and Family Action Center for students, families and their caregivers. We help meet the social, emotional and mental health needs of students by connecting them with behavioral health resources. Getting help for your child at the FRC is an easy process. It begins with contacting us by phone or filling out the referral link – “Referral (Parent)” on the right. FRC staff makes the first contact with the parent. A consultation is then scheduled for the parent to speak with the counselor at that center. The purpose of this meeting is to get more information on the concerns of the student expressed by either the parent or school staff. After the consultation and with parental permission, the student is then connected to an agency for services. FRC staff will help you find the best services to meet the needs of your child. Agency services may include: · Individual, Family and Group Counseling · Psychiatric and Psychological Evaluation · Parent Education and Workshops Services are available face-to-face or virtually by telephone or videoconference. FRC staff will work with you to make sure that agency services are accessible to you. The FRC staff also provides valuable community resource assistance beyond behavioral health needs, such as basic needs, food assistance, clothing assistance, legal and more.
