About Ms. Cantú:

Hello! I am excited to be your 6th grade ELAR teacher this year! My name is Ms. Cantu. This will be my first year teaching at Leonard Middle School, in Fort Worth ISD. I am a 2017 graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a Master's in Social Work and currently working on a Master's in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education. I'm originally from Mexico but have spent most of my life living in Fort Worth, Texas. Over the years, I've worked as a facilitator and mentor at many schools, and have become passionate about making a difference in the field of education. This passion led me to join Teach for America as a 2020 DFW Corps member this year. I'm now part of a mission to create educational equity for all children in the United States. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, going to the movies and taking walks in nature. I look forward to getting to know you this year and helping you reach your full potential!
