My name is Luann Simmons. I have taught at DeZavala Elementary for many years. This will be my 28th year. Early childhood is my passion! I am a graduate of Baylor University. Go Bears! My husband, Jerry and I have a daughter, Whitleigh, who is a recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma. Boomer! I look forward to a productive year of learning together.

I'm a teacher assistant and I assist the teacher with any instructional responsibilities in and outside of the classroom. I have been at De Zavala for 23 years. I enjoy working with children and helping them meet their goals. I love what I do.
