I work with students who speak a language other than English at home. The first 2-4 weeks of school are set aside for assessments. Decisions about who will be assessed are made by the Specialized ESL Teacher after reviewing student data and receiving feedback from the classroom teacher and administrators.

Analyze MAP & TELPAS results and identify students to test. Begin testing.
Week Two: 8/20-25/2023
Individual Testing. Once that is complete, assign students to reading groups based on teacher recommendation of times.
Week Three: 8/28/2023
Begin reading groups
