Ms. Newcomer grew up in a small town in Virginia. She lived there with her mother and sister. She moved to Texas in 2012 and started her career in education. She has a bachelor's degree in U.S. History and soon to have a Master's in Library Science. She has been a social studies teacher for 8 years in middle school. She loves books and reading and wanted to help grow her students love for reading-hence becoming a librarian.

Ms. Newcomer has a 5 year old son, Alexander. She has 2 dogs, Dudley and Patches. She likes to travel, watch movies, play video games, go to the park and of course read. Her favorite books are Everless, The Midnight Library, Code Name Verity, and anything Christmas related-she's a big Christmas person.
