Leonard Middle School Junior cadet corps

Why should students join JCC?

The Junior Cadet Corps (JCC) offers an outstanding elective course for 7th and 8th grade students. It emphasizes leadership development, positive self-esteem, teamwork and responsible patriotic citizenship. Cadets are taught professional courtesy, respect, discipline and basic leadership traits in preparing them for the transition to high school. Strong emphasis is placed on honesty, values, self-discipline, physical fitness and a desire to graduate from high school.

Mission:

Prepare students for responsible leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities and privileges as American citizens.

Motto:

Responsible Citizenship with Commitment to Community and School Service.

Honor Code:

I do not lie, cheat, or steal, and will always be accountable for my actions.

IMPORTANT Information:

ALL CADETS: Check your school Outlook Email Account everyday for necessary information. Also, check Google Classroom daily. We will have a Google Meet everyday, this will be how I take attendance. All assignments will be in Google Classroom. You must turn in all assignments on their due date to receive credit.

Physical Fitness and Attitude are two things you can control. I have many injuries, but I push through. I will be assigning physical fitness twice to three times a week. I will have accomidations for exercises so that everyone will be able to complete the workouts. If you push hard, you will see results in four weeks!!!!!

If you show me you want to be here, this will be a fun class that you will not want to miss. This class is not for the faint of heart, I want you to work hard and strive for excellence!!!!!! Upon completion of this course you will have made friends and galvanized a well oiled team with an unbreakable spirit. This is going to be a great year!!!!!!!!!!!!
