Students, accompanied by teachers, participate in free weeklong (4-days) summer hands-on career exploration program. Students will work with community businesses that allow them to experience how achievement in school is linked to success in the workplace. Students will work with professionals on the job, experience hands-on activities in the workplace, and make a connection between what is learned in school and what is required in the workplace.
Student drop off: 7:45 a.m.
Student pickup: 1 p.m.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided to students at the school
Session I: June 3- 5, 2025 (3 days)
Session II: June 9- 12, 2025 (4 days)
Session III: June 16- 18, 2025 (3 days)

Looking to develop valuable leadership skills while having a great time this summer? Our Rec Leader In Training program is designed for teens ages 13-17 who want to gain hands-on experience, learn essential life skills, and make a positive impact!
For just $75 for the entire summer, you’ll join us for an 8-week program, plus an Orientation Week. During this time, you’ll shadow experienced counselors, assist with daily camp activities, and participate in a variety of learning opportunities to help you grow as a leader.

1 in 4 children are food insecure and lack consistent access to enough food. Hungry children are more likely to have social and behavioral issues and face a more significant learning slide in summer that sets them back when they go to school in the fall.
The following Fort Worth Community Centers offer the Summer Food Service Program that is funded by the Texas Department of Agriculture. Meals will be available for free to children ages 1 to 18, and the child does not have to be enrolled in a program to qualify.

Fort Worth ISD is pleased to announce that it will offer free breakfast and lunch to all children from Wednesday, June 5 through Tuesday, July 2. Meals will be available Mondays-Thursdays.
The program is open to all children age 18 or younger who wish to receive a free meal and does not require enrollment in any summer program.
