I.M. Terrell Orchestra currently consist of ability-based ensembles.

All students enrolled in orchestra perform are required to:

• Participate in UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest

• Participate in the UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation

• Compete annually in FWISD All City process

• Attend out-of-school rehehearsals

Philharmonic

Students at this level focus on refining healthy playing posture, strengthening musical abilities, and increasing their confidence with sight reading to create a more cohesive orchestral sound.

Students in this ensemble are ENCOURAGED to audition for TMEA All-Region.

Chamber

Students at this level are expected to perform with precision, energy and a high level of musicianship. The Chamber orchestra performs string and symphonic orchestra repertoire that is considered professional-level repertoire.

Students in this ensemble are REQUIRED to audition for TMEA All-Region.
