About Me
I was born and raised in Broken Bow, OK.
This is my 4th year of teaching English Language Arts and Reading; but my first full year at South Hills High School!
I graduated from Lee University.
I have been married to my husband, Andrew, for 8 years! We have two daughters: Selah (4) and Bethel (1).
My hobbies are: family time, crochet, coloring, word puzzles/games, and anything music-related!
My love for reading began as a toddler. My mother taught me how to read at age three. As I grew older, I made it my goal to read a novel each day. I also fell in love with writing at a young age. In Kindergarten, I wrote my first book titled "The Golden Apple." My school library placed it on the shelf to display for several years. In 4th grade, I entered a poetry contest and became a published poet! I dream of becoming a novelist and curriculum writer someday.
As I spend each day working with your student, I hope to encourage, inspire, and help them build their confidence in reading and writing!
