Hello! I am Nelson Favela, 4th and 5th grade teacher at De Zavala. I teach reading, writing, and social studies.
I am the son of parents who immigrated from Tepehuanes, Durango, Mexico. I was born in Aurora, IL. We moved to Texas in 2003.
I attended the University of Texas at Arlington. I started my teaching career in 2014, here at De Zavala.

Soy hijo de padres que inmigraron de Tepehuanes, Durango, México. Nací en Aurora, IL. Nos mudamos a Texas en 2003. Asistí a la Universidad de Texas en Arlington. Comencé mi carrera docente en 2014, aquí en De Zavala.
I attended UTA and got my degree in International Business & Spanish. / Asistí a la UTA y obtuve mi título en Negocios Internacionales y Español.

In my free time, I enjoy skateboarding and playing Pokémon Go! / ¡En mi tiempo libre, disfruto patinar y jugar Pokémon Go!
