Reading

Hello students and welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! I am very excited to start the new school year and get to meet you all. I have missed you.

I am also looking forward to meeting my 6th grade students who are new to Meadowbrook Middle School. I already know some of you because I was your 4th grade Reading Teacher at Meadowbrook Elementary.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

I was born and raised by the Black Sea in the country of Bulgaria, which is located in Europe. I attended G. Milev English Language High School and St. Kliment Ochridski University. I majored in English Philology, which emphasizes English language and literature. I have one adult son and 2 cat furbabies.

I have been a teacher for over 20 years. Fifteen of those years were spent working with students in FWISD. I spent 14 years teaching at Meadowbrook Elementary School. This will be my second year working with students with dyslexia at Meadowbrook Middle School. I am still a Buffalo! Yay!

I've always wanted to be a teacher. My Mom retired after 32 years of teaching and I have always aspired to be the effective teacher that she was and follow in her footsteps. What I love most about teaching is getting to know my students as individuals with their dreams and goals, and having the privilege of helping them achieve those goals and dreams.

I love reading. Reading fiction allows us to travel to many worlds, real or fantasy, and participate in the lives of many characters. Often, these characters teach us about life, and allow us to walk in their shoes.

Students and parents, I am here for you to help you in every way. Students, I am here for you to help you achieve your dreams and succeed in school, college, and life. Let's work together!
