I have been teaching in FWISD for 5.5 years. I am from Lubbock, TX, and I went to Texas Tech. While at Texas Tech, I received my degree in Music Education and Performance. I have been a member of the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra and Midland-Odessa Symphony Orchestra. While in Fort Worth, I have played with the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra
Not only am I at Trimble Tech, but I also teach orchestra at Daggett Montessori. I have had a great time teaching in Fort Worth, and I am excited to know all of my students.
Hi, Daggett Dragons!
I come from a long line of teachers, musicians, and preachers. I cannot remember a time in my life without music. I grew up singing at church, at family functions, and at school. My mother was an opera singer, and I learned so much by listening to her sing.
In addition to singing, I have played the piano since first grade and really should be much better than I am. I also played the flute and clarinet in middle school. I was in choir throughout all my years of schooling from elementary to high school and then college.
I am a graduate of the University of North Texas where I received both of my bachelor's degrees. I also have a Master's in Vocal Pedagogy and Vocal Performance from Texas Woman's University. I performed in many operas while in college and still perform whenever I can.
I have taught grades K-12 and was a private voice teacher for many years. When I am not teaching, I love to read, go for walks, draw and paint, play with my cat, and shop. I am also an active member of the music department at Stonebriar Community Church.
It is a privilege to be a part of the Daggett Dragon Family. I look forward to facing the challenges and triumphs of this year with you.
With a song in my heart,
Ms. Seamster
