Certified Professional School Counselor
Welcome! I have been with Fort Worth ISD since 1999. I earned my undergraduate degree in education from Baylor University. Sic'em Bears! I went on to earn both a Master of Education in 2004 and a Master of Science School Counseling in 2008. I began my teaching experience at Mary Louise Phillips Elementary in 1999 where I taught both third and fourth grade. In 2007, I accepted a position where I continued to serve the ML Phillips community as their school counselor. I completed the LPC bridge program in spring of 2024 at ASU.
I serve three Special Education campuses in the Fort Worth ISD community; Jo Kelly School, Boulevard Heights School, and Transition Center Programs. Our students are ages 3 through 22 years. I love being a part of these amazing education families. I believe all children encompass enormous potential. Every student has the capacity to learn and grow when provided an appropriate learning environment that is tailored to their individualistic needs. As educators, we create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes student independence, skill development, and life long achievement.
I have two amazing kids. I have both a daughter and son in high school. We have two huge silly dogs and tons of fish. I would love to add a sloth, racoon, capybara, miniature donkey, otter, and basically any sweet animal to our household.
