My name is Coach Jay Jordan and this will be my 8th year at South Hills High School and FWISD. This is my 18th year teaching overall and I have been coaching 32 years.

I grew up in San Angelo Texas and attended San Angelo Lake View High School. While in high school I was a 4 sport athlete, I played football, basketball, baseball and ran track. I attended Angelo State University and graduated 2002 with a BS in Science Major Kinesiology and Minor Communications.

I began my teaching career in Midland Texas in 2008 and moved to Fort Worth in 2013 and taught at Northwest ISD until 2017. In 2018 I decided to join Scorpion Nation at South Hills High School.

I am currently the Head Golf Coach at South Hills High School. I took over in 2018 and I have been working on coaching up young men and women to become life long learners of the great game of golf. In my 7 years of coaching I have taken 6 athletes to Regionals in Lubbock, Texas. I am looking forward to working with the returning golfers and welcoming the new 2025-2026 golfers.
