Teacher Bio

Professor Burkett has been part of the TCC South Collegiate Comets since 2017.  She went to the University of Stephen F. Austin and received a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. She taught for 22 years and then in 2016, she went on to earn my Master's of  Science Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics from the Missouri State University. The 23/24 school year will be Professor Burkett's 33rd year to teach!  Whew, that is a long time, feels blessed to be one of the lucky few who have the privilege of earning a living doing something that they love. Professor Burkett LOVES TEACHING! When she is not teaching, she spends her time cooking, binge watching Netflix, walking her dogs for exercise, and spending time with her family and friends.
