Welcome to Riverside and my class. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you. I am the Dyslexia Interventionist. If you are looking for the Art Teacher, check out Elizabeth Branson's page. Our names are so close it can be confusing.





Elizabeth Barton

I was born and raised in Fort Worth. I graduated from Texas A&M University. I taught Kindergarten and Pre-K for 32 years before switching to teach students with dyslexia. I enjoy reading, college football and eating out. I currently have no pets, but love my sister's cat as if he were mine.

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO KEEP YOUR CHROMEBOOK CHARGED

All coursework is posted in Google Classroom. Please join the Classroom by using the codes sent to parents' phone numbers via text during the first week of school, or email to request the code be sent to you.

This week we will be reviewing and identifying the six syllable types. We will also review suffixes and their meanings. We are going to go over the IRD and Word Decks. You will be assigned to read 10 pages a day from The Lightning Thief. You will read 10 pages twice this week. We will also be using the Lexia program we used last year.

PLEASE REMEMBER:

I will be checking LEXIA and LEARNING ALLY daily to document your participation and progress.
