About me

I am Mrs. Aguinaga. I have been teaching Pre-Kindergarten for many years. I have a Bachelor's in Science with a specialization in Early Childhood-4th grade Interdisciplinary Studies.


Unit Overview

Students will learn that everyone is unique and special and that every child's thoughts and ideas are important.

Literacy- Students will begin to recognize letters in their names and sort them in meaningful ways, begin to understand that words can be divided into syllables, use compound words, recognize that sentences are made up of individual spoken words and that all print has meaning.

Math- Students will sort collections into sets by attributes; color, size, shape, lines, similarities and differences, count from 1 to 5, and understand positional words such as on, in front of and beside.

Science- Students will be introduced to science tools, the five senses and how they are used for inquiry, and explore the life cycle of a human.

Social studies - Students will begin to understand rules and procedures, citizenship, and characteristics of people.Our students will learn to identify numbers and letters of the alphabet.
