Removing Barriers to Higher Education!

Statement of Purpose

The Fort Worth Area Alliance of Black School Educators (FWAABSE) would like to recognize graduating seniors attending public schools in Tarrant County who have excelled academically, demonstrated student leadership, and participated in community service. Each year, FWAABSE collaborates with community partners to increase college enrollment in Tarrant County by reducing financial need as a barrier to higher education.

APPLICATION AND REQUIRED INFORMATION MUST BE SUBMITTED BY:

Extended Date: May 19, 2022

To be considered for scholarships, the applicant must be a graduating senior enrolled in a public high school in Tarrant County.

Applicants may apply for ONE scholarship category. Applicants with multiple scholarship applications will not be considered.

PLEASE NOTE:

ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION MUST BE SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN MAY 19, 2022.

Late applications WILL NOT be considered. No handwritten applications will be accepted. Scholarship funds are payable to the college/university/trade school directly and must be applied to tuition or room and board. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 23, 2022.
