The Quad 2 Assessment booking form will open on October 23, 2024
CURRENT STUDENTS: Students who are taking classes at Yorkdale right now and want to continue into the next quad.
RETURNING STUDENTS: Students who are returning to Yorkdale or are from another TDSB school. These students will have a TDSB transcript.
NEW STUDENTS: Students who have never attended a high school in Ontario or who attended another high school in Ontario (not the TDSB).
An assessment will be required for students who have never attended school in Ontario or attended more than 5 years ago and require an updated assessment.
Students from another school board will need to submit their transcript at the time of registration.

The following is required to join Yorkdale Adult Learning Centre:
- 21 years of age or older
Our students usually have to be over the age of 21.
However, some students who are 18 – 20 years of age AND have earned their OSSD may apply. Students who are 18 – 20 years of age and have fewer than 30 credits may apply to the EdVance program.
- Status in Canada (Citizenship, P.R., OR Study Permits Required)
Your proof of status in Canada must be provided.
If you're a Canadian citizen, you must have show a Canadian Birth Certificate, Passport, or Citizenship Card.
If you're a Permanent Resident, you must show your P.R. Card or a document showing that it is pending.
If you are NOT a Canadian citizen or a P.R., you MUST have a study permit. For more information on applying for a study permit, please visit this page: Study Permits.
- English Proficiency Level
You must meet Yorkdale ALC minimum requirements for various courses and programs. To join our school, you must assess at a minimum of ESL C level.
In some cases, you will have to take an English and math assessment before joining. See the details here: Assessments
NOTE: Our specialty programs usually have an English requirement as well, but they will be specific to each program. Please contact the specialty program leader, Alissa Weir at alissa.weir@tdsb.on.ca for questions about specialty programs.
- International Students
International students are welcome to join Yorkdale.
