Virtual Secondary Alternative Schools Fair

Grade 8 to 9 Virtual Secondary Alternative Schools Fair – Wednesday November 9, 2022

Taking place on November 9, 2022, this session will introduce families to the Alternative schools that offer Grade 9 to 12 programming. Alternative schools are highly engaged, smaller school environments. They use non-traditional hands-on approaches to learning. Each school has a distinct identity and focus. Alternative schools are ideal for students seeking an alternative to mainstream education and who want to take an active role in their own learning. The alternative schools that will be hosting a virtual open house at the fair include:

• Avondale Secondary Alternative School

• City School

• Delphi Secondary Alternative School

• OASIS Alternative Secondary School

• Subway Academy I

Schools will share information about their programming, their approach to alternative education, and will take attendees on a virtual tour of the school. Presenters will also share information about alternative education in the TDSB and provide an overview about optional attendance.
