Closing Keynote: Takara Small
Takara Small will close out the Unleashing Learning 2023 conference with a talk that covers the the broad themes of ways for educators to promote positive digital citizenship (through a lens of equity and human rights), along with thoughts around wellness in a world of constant social media and young people being so attached to their devices. Takara will also address thoughts around how educators can leverage the power of Artificial Intelligence.

About takara Small
Takara's work can be found in both digital and print publications. Her portfolio includes content strategy, creative direction, multimedia analysis with a special affinity for crafting robust content that works on multiple platforms. Takara is currently a Technology columnist at METRO MORNING, a current affairs radio program that airs on CBC (Canada's national public broadcaster) and the #1 morning show in Toronto. She is also Technology contributor at BBC WORLD NEWS SERVICE RADIO, a current affairs channel at the world's largest international broadcaster. She also serves as host of CBC's investigative series A DEATH IN CRYPTOLAND.
Takara's previous work includes, FORTUNE MAGAZINE (contributing editor), METRO NEWS CANADA (staff writer/online editor), the GLOBE AND MAIL'S podcast series (host) and ETALK CANADA (tech contributor).
