Jewish Heritage @ TDSB

As of September 2026, the Toronto District School Board discontinued Heritage Month Committees as part of its recent budget cuts. While they have dissolved specific committees responsible for organizing Heritage Months, the Board stated that official heritage and history month celebrations will continue to be recognized. Since its inception in 2015, the Jewish Heritage Committee of the Toronto District School Board has been focused on teaching & learning in classrooms. We aimed to celebrate Jewish heritage and culture in impactful, innovative, and inspirational ways - with the fight against antisemitism and all forms of hate, providing the core goal of this work. We have never been a "Heritage Month Committee" and we will be working on ways to continue to support students and staff in schools. Please stay tuned.
