What is Dual Credit?

Dual credit programs are programs approved by the Ministry of Education that allow students, while they are still in secondary school, to take college or apprenticeship course that counts towards both their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and a postsecondary certificate, diploma, degree, or a Certificate of Apprenticeship.

What is SWAC?

The TDSB offers SWAC in partnership with four GTA colleges (Centennial, George Brown, Humber and Seneca College). This program offers students between the ages of 17-20 the opportunity to earn secondary school credits and two college-delivered Dual Credits on a college campus, which also count towards their OSSD and college transcript.

Not sure what option is best? Do you have more questions, or want to hear from other students about their experiencing in the program?

Check out the video below  from Humber College (2018) to meet some of the teachers and hear about what students have to say about the program.
