Student Success at Northern
Hello Northern and welcome to Ms. Vibert's Student Success page! In here you will find a one-stop-shop for everything you need to know about success during your high school career. Explore career options and opportunities like SHSM, Dual Credit, SWAC, Peer Tutoring and more that are available to you here at Northern. If there is something you can't find or you would just like to talk in person, please come and see me in the Student Success and SHSM room located in the basement next to the cafeteria.
What is Student Success?
At Northern, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed. With the implementation of our student success initiatives, students are supported academically and socially, while being given the opportunity to build on their strengths. Our student success team includes: Principal, Vice-Principals, ACL of Student Success, Guidance, Special Education and Classroom Teachers. This team works together to ensure each student is supported in building their own unique pathway through high school while achieving success at Northern.
How does Student Success help our students?
Offering academic support in order to improve outcomes related to achievement and graduation.
Benefit from programming that can help support the overall students’ needs (peer tutoring, student nutrition program, SHSM, Mentorship, etc).

Midaynta Community Services is a registered Canadian charitable organization that provides settlement services and other programs that advances education by providing courses, seminars, meetings, counseling and other support services for refugees, immigrants and youths in need.
