WHAT/WHY: Terry Fox Run to support and raise funds for cancer research.
WHEN: Thursday, October 2, 2025 (Period 2 - Assembly schedule)
WHERE: In our community neighbourhood
WHO: All students at Richview are encouraged to participate (Richview Athletic Council will be organizing this event)
HOW: Students are advised to wear comfortable shoes and athletic attire for the event (dress appropriately for weather conditions). Students should also bring a water bottle.
PERMISSION TO PARTICIPATE: Parents/guardians must fill out the digital walking excursion form that was sent out with the start of the year forms.

All students are encouraged to raise funds for this worthy cause. Every little bit counts :)
1) Students can raise money by creating their own Personal Page on the Richview Collegiate Institute Terry Fox Website. The individual amount will go towards our entire school fundraising.
Click on our fundraising page and choose either option: RCI Fundraising Page
Option 1: Click on Donate
Option 2: Click Start Fundraising - set up a personal page
Donors will receive a tax receipt through e-mail via the Terry Fox Foundation
2) Students can also give cash donations to a RAC member on the day of the event.

Richview Athletic Council members will be spread out strategically along the route situated at traffic lights, stop signs and road crossings.
Participating students are advised to stay on the sidewalk and be mindful of local traffic.
The route is approximately ~3.5km in total (~45 mins to walk)
*Students who do not complete the online walking excursion form are only permitted to walk around the school track*
