Thrive

Runnymede Thrives

THRIVE is a student-run club at Runnymede C.I that specializes in improving the mental health and wellness of students at the school. We are committed to reducing the stigma attached to mental illness with a focus on promoting positive mental health.

PET THERAPY

Recognizing that many students today struggle with anxiety, Thrive organizes a number of lunch time pet therapy sessions during the year.

BEAUTIFICATION

Sometimes, the outside is an important support for what is happening inside, Thrive has taken on several initiatives to beautify areas of our school building that could use a little help to showcase our school spirit and help to provide comfort for those who are having a bad day.

STRENGTH IN UNITY

We are stronger when we are united. Thrive collaborates with different groups throughout the year on important initiatives to improve our school and our Runnymede CI family.

You Belong HERE

Runnymede CI is a family. Everyone is welcome. We are all unique. We are all beautiful.

Ever think you don't belong anywhere? We have the answer.

You belong here, with us.

If you can't see anything beautiful about yourself - get a better mirror

Need a little love? Thrive provides lunchtime sessons to help you destress and unwind with Davis, our Runnymede Therapy Dog who works for Therapeutic Paws of Canada. Thrive has also welcomed Pawsitively Pets into the school on several occassions. Their menagerie of small animals is sure to bring a smile to your face!

PINK SHIRT DAY

Every year, Thrive supports Pink Shirt Day (February) and the International Day of Pink (April) which aim to bring awareness to Bullying and Inclusitivity in our society. Over the last 2 years, Runnymede students have designed unique t-shirts to showcase our dedication to this important intiative.
