Information and Communications Technology

What is it?

This program introduces students to the concepts and methods of digital media. Students develop and communicate ideas in graphic production, video production and editing, computer design, and digital imaging. Students will also develop an appreciation for design through analysing specific works and creating media artworks through a variety of technologies and professional software.

This program is student centered, activity based, and project driven. It will challenge every student to discover their own creativity and implement them using a variety of design skills. Students will learn to be self-directed learners while developing a sense of achievement as they accomplish the tasks and goals set before them.

Curriculum

Students in this program are required to take 4 of the approved major courses in the ICT program.

Students in this program typically take the following courses:

  • Digital Photography (AWQ3M & AWQ4M)

  • Communications Technology (TGJ3M & TGJ4M)
