Math

Term one:

This term in Mathematics, our grade 8 team will be building on student's previous knowledge. Below is this term's syllabus which include the strands and corresponding concepts taught in class. It is beneficial for all grade 8 students to own a scientific calculator in order to familiarize themselves with functions taught in class and become comfortable with their personal calculators for use in high school as well.

Homework:

Homework is assigned for students to practice new concepts. Students are given class time to get support with this work, usually if they require more time, unfinished work is to be finished at home. It is taken up the next math class.

Extra Help:

Students must take the initiative to make arrangements, in advance, for help at lunches or after school if they need extra support.

Google Classroom:

Homework, additional resources/ online practice, assignments, and reminders will be posted on our Google Classroom site. Students will be given class time in our computer lab for all assignments that will be submitted via Google classroom.
