Course Codes: Across Ontario, course codes are used to identify the subject, general content, grade level, and type of course. When students enroll in a course, the code appears as 6-digits (the final digit may identify if the course is a regular course, specialized course, delivered as a French immersion/extended course, or other instructional means). Successfully completed courses will appear as 5-digits only on the student's high school transcript as a credit earned (or half-credit, as applicable). The Ontario Ministry of Education has a full list of course codes available across Ontario and their pre-requisite courses here. Your high school may not offer all courses listed in this document. Check directly with your high school for current course offerings. See the graphic below for reference.
