Welcome to Our Class Website
Welcome back to school and a special welcome to grade 4! I am looking forward to being your child’s teacher this year.
This will be my 29th year teaching, with 28 of those years being at LKS. During this time, I have taught a variety of grades and subjects, in all three divisions, primary, junior and intermediate. I have also taught phys ed and health to K - 8.
I am looking forward to 2023-2024 being a great school year! In order to keep everyone healthy, please be sure to keep your child at home if they aren't feeling well. At school, we will continue to follow any necessary safety guidelines in order to keep everyone safe. While masks are no longer mandated, they are still recommended while indoors. Ultimately it will be your choice, as to whether your child should be wearing a mask or not.

Suggested School Materials List for Grade 4
The following items are recommended for each child to have at school. Students will not be using lockers this year, iinstead they will keep their coat and backpack on a hook and have a small cubby to keep their shoes in.
Individual pencil box/case that will fit in student desk
Pencils/erasers (I will provide the first one for each student)
Small package of pencil crayons and markers
Enclosed pencil sharpener
Highlighter(s)
Whiteboard marker(s)
Scissors
Glue stick
30 cm ruler
Black Sharpie (regular and thin)
Sketchbook for mindfulness time
Indoor shoes
Reusable water bottle
inexpensive headphones or earbuds (with an aux cord, not USB or blue tooth)
tea towel or cloth (brought in lunch bag) to put on desk, for a clean spot to eat lunch (optional)
Book/novel to read when work is completed
Dress for the weather each day as we will be spending time outside each day (hat, coat, sunscreen etc.)
Donations of Kleenex and Paper Towel throughout the year are always greatly appreciated!
