I wanted to share an update, that you've probably already noticed if you're using Meets regularly, it's called "Share Chrome Tab". (When you go to share your screen).
This new feature will allow you to share a specific tab in Chrome instead of showing your entire screen--it's cleaner and won't show all of your bookmarks, other open tabs, etc. to students when you're sharing.
For a 90-second tutorial please see this YouTube video made by a fellow TDSB Teacher-Librarian friend of mine April De Melo.
Check out this site for a full overview of this awesome tool. It's like a Whiteboard online that you could use for explaining math problems, idea boards, posing questions to students using sticky notes, etc. You can also insert images that might help as provocations or discussion-starters.
**Keep in mind you have no way of seeing "who posted what" so you could set norms with your students to always put their initials beside anything they add**
Students can access their Google Drive (cloud), Google Classroom and all of the amazing tools offered by Google at home. Please see the step-by-step tutorial on the right to help students login from home.
Lots of great information, tutorials, videos all about Google Classroom available here.
TDSB's new website full of wonderful Climate Change Resources for you and your students. You can access it here:

Students in grade 3-6 have been exploring video creation through an online tool called Adobe Spark. Adobe is available for free for all TDSB students using their school board login credentials. It can be confusing to get into the program for the first time. I've created this easy step-by-step to help students with the process at school and/or at home. You can find the instructions here: bit.ly/TDSBadobe or in the slideshow on the right.
This letter was sent home in September 2019 to parents along with the new learnmark. The Learnmark is a helpful bookmark-type document where you can find login info for all of the free online resources that TDSB has to offer. If you have any questions, please come see me!
