A wonderful Husband, an awesome Dad, and a true friend to many. During his years at Leacock (and the decades that followed), Paul could always be counted on to be not only the life of the party, but likely the one organizing it.
That spirit lives on today, with friends gathering every year to honour his memory.
Forever missed.
Alumni 1974-1978
A beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sibling, and wonderful friend who is missed terribly.
Alumni class of 1976
It is with much sadness that I let you know about the passing of my dear life time friend Lesley Thompson … class of 1976 / via Highland Heights and John Buchan. Sister of Eric, Holly and Heather.
Remember Lesley by her love of hockey, both on the field and on the ice. Back then, not many girls played ice hockey. Her love of photography and her help with the yearbook. Her love of science, especially with Mrs Mahabir, her dear friends Larry Matsuba and Frank Rinaldi, and her dear friend Tina Cabrio McDowell. After getting her Phys Ed degree and teaching certificate from U of T, Lesley was also a teacher in Moose Factory ON, New Zealand and then at the outdoor school in North York.
God speed … we will miss you .
Mr. Vee was a Vice-Principal at Stephen Leacock during the 1980s.
Leacock was one of his favourite schools - many may remember him doing laps in the pool during lunch hour!
Alumni 1970-1974
John sadly passed away in 2013. He was a good man, loved and respected by his family and friends, both new and old (Lynngate, John Buchan and Stephen Leacock crowd). He was a likeable guy, and these friendships lasted for years.
John was a family man. He married his Senior Public-School sweetheart (Jackie) and was married for 36 years. He was so proud when his son Shane was born. He was both a loving father and partner. He truly was our rock, and we miss him so much.
Alumni 1972-1978

Alumni 1977-1982
Playing football, rugby, and basketball at Leacock gave Bob unforgettable memories - from the excitement of game days to the strong friendships forged through hard work and a shared love of sport. The coaches at Leacock were some of the best, and Bob was thankful to call many of them friends.
Bob’s passion for sports stayed with him throughout his life, and he passed that love on not only to friends but also to his greatest joy - his four amazing boys. He embraced and encouraged a life full of fun, adventure, and dedication, whether at home, in the office, on the field, on the ski hill, or out on the lake.
Bob’s legacy lives on in the many lives he touched - with his humour, strength, and deep love for family and friends.
