Our school is hosted on the traditional lands of the Mississaugas of the Anishnaabe, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, and the Wendat, who have been here for many years. We also recognize the enduring presence of all First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples on these lands today. The area now known as Toronto is part of the Dish With One Spoon Treaty, originally a treaty between Indigenous groups to share this territory and protect the land. Subsequent newcomers, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous, have been invited to take part in this treaty in the spirit of peace, friendship and respect.
