FOUR STRATEGIES FOR RESEARCHING SCHOLARSHIPS
Step 1:
The Guidance Office advertises scholarships that come to our office in the Senior Students Bulletins, in the Scholarship Binder in the reception area and on the Scholarship Bulletin Board in the hall across the Guidance Office. These come in at staggered times throughout the year. Be aware of those that require nomination by Humberside’s Committee and don’t miss the nomination deadline for these scholarships.
CHECK THE GUIDANCE GOOGLE CLASSROOM UNDER "CLASSWORK", THEN "SCHOLARSHIP"
Step 2:
ouinfo.ca - Individual university scholarships, requirements and application procedures
Step 3:
(a) University Web Sites - For example, scholarships and financial aid of Ontario universities web site: http://www.osca.ca
(b) Scholarship Web Sites: These websites give students access to information on thousands of Canadian entrance-level scholarships, bursaries, and other financial awards
ScholarshipsCanada.com
yconic.com
campusaccess.com
seekingscholarships.com (see guidance counsellor for username and password)
Step 4:
(a) Parents' employers and associations
(b) Cultural Organizations
It is YOUR responsibility to further research the details of all scholarships.
