SWIM TEAM

Congratulations to the entire Fern swim team. Fern is incredibly proud of your accomplishments. We had 36 children finish in the top 8 at the finals at the Pan Am Center. The kids worked really hard, and they couldn’t have done it without their hard work coming to practices early in the morning. Thank you to everyone who helped out the team and see you next year!

Senior boys slo-pitch team is now posted in front of room 311. 

We will practice Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8am-9am at Sorauren Park. 

Please complete the permission form on EMA before our first practice if you have not already done so. 

Our tournament will be all day on Thursday, May 23rd at Annette PS.

FERN JUNIOR DODGEBALL HOUSE LEAGUE 2024

Our highly anticipated dodgeball house league will be starting on January 15th and our junior students are feeling the excitement. Over 90 junior students from grades 4-6 have signed up for what is promising to be a great event. There will be five teams that will be playing on scheduled days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, between 12:15-1:00pm in our school's gym. The house league tournament will go on until  mid February. This will be a great opportunity for our students to exercise, practice their skills of throwing, catching, and dodging, and most importantly to have fun and socialize with friends and other students at school! The big prize is a picture with the gold Fern Cup!

Hi Parent(s),

Your child has expressed an interest in playing for the Fern Senior hockey team.

We have 2 tryouts scheduled to determine the approximately 15 players who will make the team (our game schedule will be determined in the new year).  Before trying out, you need to complete the online permission form at :

https://parent.ema.tdsb.on.ca

Both of our tryouts are at McCormick arena and will last for one hour.  Parents will be required to make transportation arrangements for their child (carpool if possible)  to and from the arena.  Players should arrive a half hour before tryout time in order to change and get signed in.

Our first tryout is Wednesday, November 29th at 10:00 AM.

Our second tryout is Wednesday, December 6th at 9:30 AM.

Please return the bottom portion of this letter to indicate your child’s availability for the tryouts so that the school does not mark them absent and remember to complete online permission.
