Portioned Practice - Completion Data Template

Instructions

1. Make Copy of Template

2. Connect Script to Your Template Copy

  • Copy the ID of your new template from your web browser's address bar (*ID is after https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ and before /edit#gid=0 - see below)

  • From your new copy of the template, open the script editor (Tools β‡Ύ Script editor).

  • Replace the defalut ID in the script with the new template ID you just copied.

  • Save and close the script editor.

3. Summary Data Setup

  • Go the 'Summary Data' and modify conditional formatting thresholds to your liking.

  • *These can be changed at any time. To apply changes, select 'Practice β‡Ύ Update Conditional Formatting.

4. Enter Student Emails

  • Go the 'Student Emails' sheet and enter the emails of your students (Parent/Guardian emails not nece.

  • *Any modifications after initializing the Summary sheet (see #5 below) will have to be performed manually.

5. Initialize Summary Sheet

  • Select 'Practice β‡Ύ Initialize Summary'.

6. Create Forms, Form Spreadsheets

  • Create your practice form(s) (or make a copy of mine).

  • Select 'Responses' and click the spreadsheet symbol ( 'Create Spreadsheet).

  • Select 'Create' when prompted.

  • You will be taken to your newly created spreadsheet. Copy the ID of this spreadsheet your web browser's address bar (as in #2 above).

7. Connect Form Spreadsheets to Summary

  • Go the 'Forms Data' sheet and enter the ID of your form spreadsheet and name it (name does not have to match form name, but it could).

  • *More than one spreadsheet form can be connected at a time.

  • *New forms can be connected at any time.

  • Select 'Practice β‡Ύ Activate Forms'.

  • Once script finishes, the form is ready to be shared with students.

8. Share with Students

  • Back to your form, select 'Send' (top right).

  • Choose option that serves you best.
