Creating Original Theatre Performances
Danforth students are encouraged to express their unique voice through drama and dance opportunities. The works we create in class and extracurriculars are showcased in school and community performances in additional theatre spaces. Every student has an opportunity to be part of the team on stage and back stage.
Extracurricular Performing Arts (open to everyone)
Drama Room Production Company (DPRC): Student-led production company that writes, stages and performs their own plays and musicals for the school and community.
Coffee Houses (2-3 annually): Arts council hosts an event for poets, musicians, actors, magicians and comedians to perform.
Dance Clubs and Bollywood Club: Students create dances for a school Dance Showcase and Asian Heritage Assemblies. Choreography mentorship with professional artists as part of TDSB Dare to Create.
Stage Crew: Run the lights and sound in the auditorium for all school events.

Productions compete in the National Theatre School Drama Festival (formerly the Sears Drama Festival).
